The seabird research on Stora Karlsö is an important part of
WWF's International Baltic Sea program.

owns and runs Stora Karlsö and also manages the island's tourism
activities. All the practical parts of the project's field work

Stockholm University 
Stockholm University is the project's academic base. Our research
is closely linked to research concerning the Baltic Sea carried
out at the Department of Systems Ecology at the university.

Stockholm
Resilience Centre 
The Stockholm Resilience Centre is an international
research centre placed at Stockholm University. Founded in 2007,
Stockholm Resilience Centre advances transdisciplinary research
for governance of social-ecological systems with a special emphasis
on resilience - the ability to deal with change and continue to
develop.
SRC form, together with the Department of Systems
Ecology, the academic base for the Baltic Seabird project.

CAnMove
- Centre for Animal Movement Research 
CAnMove is a research centre at Lund University.
It focuses on trans-disciplinary research on the causes and consequences
of animal movement.
CAnMove and Baltic Seabird project cooperate on studies of foraging
movements and migration of seabirds.
